The theatre national festival and contest. The first in Poland meetings of theatre debutants – directors and actors. The word debut is taken here literally: as the first stage performance or the first professional theatrical role.

The "Pierwszy Kontakt" ("The First Contact") provides a presentation and promotion of young and younger theatre artists. Organisers wish to attract the young audience. The first edition of the new festival took place in 2011 and since then, it is organised every two years, alternating with the “Kontakt” International Theatre Festival.

Organiser of the festival is the Wilam Horzyca Theatre.
